GUIDE! Dublin Meeting

GuideDublin3The GUIDE! project is close to finish so that the partnership carried out a coordination meeting before the final conference that will be organize in Berlin next november.

This meeting took place in Dublin on the first and second of July 2013, in Ballymun Job Center premises. The main topics addressed were the sustainability and dissemination of the projects results, the commercialization of the training material and the development of a train the trainers workshops on the case studies elaborated.

The meeting counted with the participation of all project partners, namely: Metropolis-net (Germany), Budapest Chance nonprofit (Hungary), CIOPS FP (Italy), Gsub, (Germany), Ballymun Job Centre (Ireland) in addition to Documenta from Spain.

The final conference of the project which will be on the 4th November 2013 in Berlin. This conference will count with the presence of policy makers and guidance practitioners among other stakeholders from partner countries. The conference will allow knowing guidance approaches, tools, methods and training conditions as well as training strategies for guidance practitioners. Additionally, after the plenary session, there will be two different forums: the first one aimed to guidance practitioners and the second one aimed to policy makers. Finally, the training case studies developed under the frame of the project will be presented.  

Presentation of an Integrated Employment Project with Labor Intermediation

DLM presentacionUnder the name of “Zero Distance to the Labour Market”, DOCUMENTA, in cooperation with SEMFOR training centre, is planning to develop a guidance and job placement counselling project, focused on labour integration of young unemployed people (under 35 years), as well as other relevant groups of unemployment beneficiaries.

This project aims to help these people to achieve a better position at facing job seeking and/or promoting entrepreneurship. The refereed initiative is framed within the call for proposals from the Public Employment Service of Cantabria, under the title of “Proyectos Integrados de Empleo con Intermediación Laboral” (Integrated Employment Projects with Labor Mediation), and will be develop from June to December 2013.

DOCUMENTA Organised a Professional Meeting on Lifelong Learning Challenges and Opportunities related to Training, Counselling, and Labour Insertion

JORNADA 1On 19th June 2013 DOCUMENTA carried out a meeting with more than 30 professionals from the fields of training, career counselling and business consultancy in Cantabria, to reflect on the role played by Lifelong Learning in the creation of opportunities for access to the labour market and the labour integration of different groups within the current socio-economic context.

The seminar, held in the facilities of the Cantabrian Institute of Health and Safety at work in Santander, has had the presence of Maria Angeles Sopeña, Director of the regional PES, which intervened in the first part of it and answered the questions of the attendees.

The event has been attended by organizations such as CEOE-CEPYME or IFES Cantabria, as well as the social services of the City Council of Santander, regional social assistance associations, local development agencies (municipalities of Colindres, Bárcena de Cicero, Alto Asón), and several non-profit organizations (Red Cross, Fundación Diagrama, AMICA,Foundation AFIM or Secretariado Gitano).
