“Intelligent and Responsible Territories” book publishing for the European project GETIR

GETIR PUBLICACION"Intelligent and Responsible Territories" is the title of the new book by Javier Farto, President of DOCUMENTA, published within the framework of the European development of innovation project of GETIR (European Intelligent territories and responsible manager), funded with the support of the European Commission through the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).

This publication aims to put the finishing touch to this initiative, started in 2010 seeking to boost the model of Intelligent and Responsible Territories model through the improvement and update of the training and professional profile of local development experts.


GUIDE: Transnational Meeting in Tampere, Finland

GuideTampere2The forth transnational meeting of the GUIDE! “Good Guidance Stories” European project took place in the facilities of the Employment Service Unit of Tampere city in Finland on the 22th and 23th April 2013.

During this meeting, the partnership presented the results of the testing process that was carried out regarding the developed case studies in the different involved countries. The professionals of the guidance field who participated in this process valued this teaching material in a very positive way and, now, the partnership will work on its final version including the feedback gathered in the testing sessions.

Furthermore, they discussed about the contents of the methodological guide which will be part of the pedagogical material together with the case studies and about the practical recommendation handbook aimed to guidance practitioners as well as policy makers which will be based on the results of the survey carried out during the first stage of the project.

Finally, project partners started organizing future activities such as the final conference that will be held in Berlin in November 2013 and the training the trainers course concept which will be offered through the comenius-grundtvig database.


ENTREPRENEURSHIP: A Training Approach to Face European Youth Unemployment

YES lisboaIn the framework of the priorities of the European agenda, arises the Leonardo da Vinci programme «YES: Youth unemployment: fostering Entrepreneurial Skills» proposing the transference of two innovative learning tools based on the development of entrepreneurship EU key competence to tackle youth unemployment situation all around Europe and more specifically in the participating countries: Turkey, Portugal, Greece, Spain and Lithuania.

YES project strives to equip VET providers with ePROF entrepreneurs profile designed in Greece, and ePACK an entrepreneurship e-learning tool from Lithuania, in order to train them to become the future entrepreneurial educators (i.e., VET teachers/trainers/professional) and thus speed up entrepreneurship learning among young unemployed individuals.


GUIDE Project: Case Study Methodology for Guidance Practitioners Training

GUIDE Sdr2Within the framework of GUIDE! “Good Guidance Stories” project, two training workshops aimed to guidance practitioners were carried out in Santander.

On the 21st and 25th March 2013 we worked with two heterogeneous groups of guidance practitioners on the “recognize and respond to clients diverse needs” competence through the case studies methodology.

Within the first stage of GUIDE! European project, the main competences to work as guidance practitioner were identified through a survey which was filled in by professionals from Germany, Spain, Finland, Italy, Ireland and Hungary. Then, in the second phase, six case studies were developed. Each of them is based on the six competences identified as the most important ones by the professionals participating in the survey.
