Documenta successfully concludes the pilot testing of the Family Learning Curriculum of the Famskill project

Famskill CursoIO2Between March 11th and 22nd, Documenta carried out a course with the objective of testing the Family Learning Curriculum that has been developed over the last months by the different partners of the Famskill project.

The testing was carried out in the Center for Promotion and Technological Innovation of Torrelavega. The course was attended by a score of participants, whose main profile was that of adult women, with family responsibilities and a low level of digital skills. The attendees actively participated during all the sessions and positively evaluated the piloting  once it was finished.

The Family Learning Curriculum is one of the materials proposed in the Famskill project, and aims to create a methodology that improves adult family learning skills through several content and materials.

It presents a three-dimensional approach to help adults to re-engage the learning process:

  1. Developing basic skills levels (mathematics, digital and literacy).
  2. Developing the learning to learn competence
  3. Developing understanding on school processes and pedagogies.

The different sessions mainly focused on improving the basic digital skills of the assistants, as well as the improvement of mathematical and literacy skills through new technologies.

The Famskill project began in 2017 and aims to help adults with a low level of basic skills to reengage the educational process through an innovative family learning program.
