On December 10th and 11th, DOCUMENTA participated as coordinator and promoter in the kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ KA220 ADU project «Participatory School of Energy Culture» in Timisoara, Romania. The four partners from Greece (EUROERGASIAKI Adult Training Center), Turkey (National Directorate of Education of the Anamur District), Romania (LOGS Association – Social Initiative Group), and Spain (DOCUMENTA) gathered to plan the initial actions to be developed within the project and to gain a deeper understanding of its objectives and expected outcomes. Two days of intense work to launch a project that will run until October 2026.
The kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ KA220 project for the Cooperation Partnership in Adult Education was a resounding success. The partners gained detailed insights into the work packages and their respective actions: the development of an Energy Information Center, the creation of syllabuses and training content, the establishment of a Virtual Environment and educational platform, dissemination and sustainability plans, testing and validation processes, and more.
The consortium was able to grasp the significance and spirit of the project and understand how the Participatory Schools of Energy Culture will be created both virtually and locally. Questions regarding project management were resolved, deadlines for implementing actions were set, and activities were distributed among the partners.
The «Participatory Schools of Energy Culture» project aims to inform and educate citizens about energy issues and promote their engagement in schools to address the high levels of energy poverty in Spain and across Europe. It also seeks to foster a societal shift towards a just, clean, equitable, and collaborative energy transition.
