On March 19, 20, and 21, DOCUMENTA participated in the Kick Off Meeting of the SustainTour project—»Capacity Building of Vocational Training Providers in Sustainable Tourism»— as well as in the familiarization workshop on the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and the European Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training (EQAVET). These three days of learning, collaboration and work were dedicated to planning upcoming actions, in which DOCUMENTA will actively contribute to the design of the Sustainable Tourism Advisor role, aimed at improving tourism conditions in the Western Balkans.
SustainTour is a new ERASMUS CB VET (Capacity Building in Vocational Education and Training) project that started in November 2024. Over the course of three years, it will design and implement actions to enhance the skills of VET teachers and strengthen the human capital of the tourism sector in the Western Balkans, specifically in Albania and Kosovo.
This new project, in which DOCUMENTA participates as a Spanish partner, is coordinated by BEE Group SA (Greece) and involves MMC Management Center Limited (Cyprus), DIMITRA (Greece), AlbAcademy (Albania), Kolegji Universum (Kosovo), Alexander Moisiu Durres University (Albania), and the Kosovo Chamber of Hospitality and Tourism (Kosovo).
The project will focus on fostering links between the tourism labor market and VET providers, promoting skills alignment, developing competencies in sustainable tourism, and integrating social, ecological, and digital skills into tourism-related VET curricula.
We will continue to share updates on our progress and upcoming actions.
