On September 25 and 26, the second transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ KA220 project “Participatory Schools of Energy Culture” was held in Anamur (Turkey). The conference was organized by the District Directorate of National Education of Anamur and was attended by the educational authorities of the district (Mustafa Kaplan, District Director of National Education, and Erhan Güğül, Manager of the Anamur Education Delegation), along with the project partners: DOCUMENTA (Spain), coordinator and promoter; LOGS Association – Social Initiative Group (Romania); EUROERGASIAKI (Greece); and the District Directorate of National Education of Anamur (Turkey).

During the two days of meetings, the consortium reviewed the current state of the project at this mid-stage and planned future actions to be carried out in the coming months. The working sessions were particularly focused on the development of the project’s pedagogical materials and educational platform, while partners examined the actions carried out so far, such as the project platform and the Virtual Environment of Energy Culture, the Energy Information Center, the Energy Education Program, various dissemination activities, and financial reports.

The consortium analyzed the results achieved and planned upcoming actions, which in the following months will lead to the creation of an Energy Education Program with two syllabus and two courses that will be tested in each partner country, as well as a Virtual Community where materials, resources, news, and more related to energy culture will be shared.

The main objective of the project “Participatory Schools of Energy Culture” is to contribute to the improvement of information, education, and citizen participation in energy-related issues, promoting the acquisition of sustainable and environmental competences, combating energy poverty rates, and fostering cooperation in the fight against climate change through collaborative projects and networking.
